As a Commercial Catering Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of a wide range of commercial kitchen equipment. Working as part of a skilled maintenance team, you will deliver both planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring minimal downtime and the highest operational standards.
Responsibilities
* Carry out installation, servicing, and repair of commercial catering equipment.
* Deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and respond to reactive breakdowns.
* Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs across a variety of kitchen equipment.
* Work on equipment including ovens, fryers, grills, hot cupboards, woks, and Rational ovens.
* Source and order parts and materials as required.
* Complete certification and job reports accurately (manual or electronic).
* Provide technical support and guidance to colleagues and stakeholders.
* Oversee contractors on-site, ensuring work is completed to required standards.
* Ensure full compliance with health & safety regulations and company procedures.
* Participate in shift patterns as required during client occupation.
Qualifications
* Gas Safe certified (CCCN1 Core Commercial Catering Gas Safety).
* COMCAT qualifications (levels 1-5 preferred).
* NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline.
* Strong experience working with commercial catering equipment.
* Knowledge of Natural Gas & LPG systems.
* Good understanding of health & safety, COSHH, and building regulations.
* Ability to diagnose faults and work independently.
* Strong communication and organisational skills.
* Full UK driving licence.
