Early Years Practitioner Location: Ballymena & Antrim Hours: 30 hours per week Salary: £12.60 per hour Contract: Temporary Ongoing Total Care Recruitment is hiring on behalf of our client for an Early Years Practitioner to work within the Developmental Programme for 23 year olds. This is a rewarding opportunity to work as part of a dedicated team providing high-quality childcare in line with the Minimum Standards for Childminding and Daycare (NI). The successful candidate will help create a supportive and nurturing environment where each child's individual needs are met. Main Duties Support childrens personal, social, emotional, cognitive, and language development Use developmental tools to observe, assess and track progress Deliver structured group play sessions and individual support through home visits Build strong relationships with children, families, and professionals Plan and implement both individual and group-based services Promote best practice in child protection and safeguarding Working Pattern Monday: 9.00am 4.30pm Tuesday: 9.00am 4.30pm Wednesday: 9.00am 5.00pm Thursday: 9.00am 2.30pm Friday: 9.00am 1.00pm Essential Criteria Minimum Level 2 Diploma in Childcare (or equivalent) Experience working with children under the age of 4 A passion for early years development and supporting families Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures Knowledge of child development including physical, linguistic, and emotional growth Ability to travel between sites in Ballymena and Antrim (mileage reimbursed) Desirable Level 3 qualification in Childcare Previous experience working in a Sure Start or community setting Why Join Us?
