Your new role
This role will support the Pre-Construction department by developing and managing programmes across design, procurement, and construction phases.
Key Responsibilities
1. Assist in developing detailed programmes that capture all key design, procurement, and construction activities, ensuring logical sequencing and identification of the critical path.
2. Collaborate with internal teams, engineers, and subcontractors to gather essential information for MEP planning and coordination.
3. Support the preparation and upkeep of project documentation, including progress reports, risk assessments, and schedule updates.
4. Monitor MEP project progress, identifying potential delays and supporting timely resolution.
5. Assist in the preparation and management of procurement schedules for MEP equipment and materials.
6. Participate in meetings with MEP teams and contractors to review progress, timelines, and address any issues.
7. Provide administrative support to the planning team, including report preparation, project plan updates, and document management.
8. Contribute to cost estimation and resource planning for MEP projects.
9. Prepare short-term programmes and assist with departmental tasks such as reprogramming and resource allocation.
10. Track programme changes and assess their impact on project timelines.
11. Rmend recovery strategies or opportunities for programme improvement.
12. Maintainprehensive change logs in line with planning procedures.
What you'll need to succeed
Essential:
13. HNC/Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
14. Experience in tender stage and/or on-site planning within a developer or contractor environment.
15. Proficiency in project management software such as Asta Powerproject and MS Project.
16. Strong IT skills, particularly with Microsoft Office applications.
Desirable:
17. Understanding of MEP design and construction processes, including installation andmissioning of M&E services.
