What is the role?
This two‑year apprenticeship programme is designed to develop your understanding of delivering projects in line with clear objectives and to make decisions that manage stakeholder expectations. You will work alongside a multi‑skilled team to deliver projects to time, cost, and quality requirements.

You will also develop a clear understanding of safety management systems and best practices, ensuring project teams align with our safety culture.
On completion, you will have the opportunity to progress to an Assistant Project Manager role and ultimately to a Project Manager, leading large capital projects such as substations, overhead lines and cable projects ranging from £10 million to £2 billion.
What do I need?
* Highly organised and self‑driven with the ability to manage your time well.
* Flexible in your approach to work to maximise your chances of success, and comfortable working alone or as part of a team.
* Hold a full UK driver’s licence, or be in the process of learning to drive, as you will need to travel to project sites.
* Be comfortable working away from home.
Recruitment process
Our recruitment process has three stages: Online Testing, Video Interview, and an In‑Person Assessment Centre.
* If your application meets the minimum criteria, we’ll invite you to complete an online test.
* If successful, you will then be asked to complete an online video interview.
* If you progress, our Hiring Managers will review the video interviews, and if you make it through, we’ll contact you by 21st November 2025 with an update.
