Barnes Aerospace is pleased to announce that we are currently recruiting two Apprentice Engineers to join our team at our Motherwell site, where we manufacture critical engine components for some of the worldâs largest OEMs.\n\nThe Modern Apprenticeship in mechanical engineering will begin with 10 months of offsite training at EKGTA, followed by 38 months of onsite development. During this time, apprentices will gain hands-on experience across a range of departments including:\n\nOperations\nEngineering\nQuality\n\nYou will complete structured secondments focused predominantly CNC machining. Working in a highly skilled environment and utilising the latest manufacturing technologies, you will also be assigned a dedicated mentor to support and accelerate your development throughout the programme.\n\nQualifications & Outcomes;\nThis is a full Modern Apprenticeship programme, leading to:\n\nPerforming Engineering Operations (SCQF Level 5)\nDiploma in Engineering (SCQF Level 7)\nAcademic qualification (minimum NC)\nCompletion of all Meta Skills\nUpon successful completion, candidates will achieve a fully qualified Modern Apprenticeship in Engineering. Further education opportunities will be available.
