Our Wellingborough-based client is currently seeking a Compliance Assistant to join their Quality Team on a permanent basis. What You’ll Be Doing As a Compliance Assistant, you’ll support the Quality Team in maintaining systems and documentation to ensure compliance with quality, legal, and safety standards—specifically the BRCGS standard. This is not just an office-based role. A significant part of the job will involve being on the factory floor across all sites, ensuring procedures are followed and documentation is completed correctly. Your key responsibilities will include: Conducting daily compliance walk-rounds and reporting findings to both staff and management Maintaining and updating the documented Quality Management System Managing and controlling documentation and supplier records Supporting site audits and completing customer questionnaires Assisting with onboarding new starters (uniforms, lockers, etc.) Helping ensure compliance across all departments and locations This is a hands-on role that involves wearing full PPE and complying with all BRCGS rules—including restrictions on painted or artificial nails, jewellery, and other hygiene-related requirements. You’ll occasionally be required to report non-compliances, so you’ll need the confidence and professionalism to communicate clearly and constructively with colleagues at all levels.
