Volunteering with Change Grow Live is a great way to make a real difference in people’s lives whilst gaining valuable experience. Whether you want to give back to your community, develop new skills, or meet like-minded people, there are plenty of reasons to get involved. We are currently looking for people to support us in our new Rural services, due to start over the next few months. As a Rural Volunteer Recovery Worker with Change Grow Live you’ll work with people who use our services, helping them get to where they want to be. The Rural Volunteer Recovery Role will support service users through drug and alcohol treatment by assisting care coordinators. This will be through brief interventions, group work, recovery care planning and signposting to specialist services. At Change Grow Live you will be working with people to help them change the direction of their life, grow as an individual, and live life to its full potential. As a Rural Recovery support volunteer you will be working in close collaboration with Recovery Coordinators, assisting them in their caseload management, supporting the service user through all aspects of their treatment journey. This can include completing assessments, risk management plans and undertaking one to one and groupwork. You will receive training and support and work towards holding a small caseload of low risk clients.
