Parmley Graham is the UK's leading independent distributor of automation and control products, providing innovative solutions to industries such as manufacturing, energy, and process control.
In this role, the apprentice will gain hands-on experience in providing first-line IT support, assisting with the setup and configuration of various devices such as desktops, laptops, smartphones, printers, and network switches. They will support networked devices, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and assist in the installation and configuration of operating systems and software. This position offers a comprehensive learning experience in a dynamic and supportive environment.
In this role, you'll work towards your Level 3 Information Communications Technician, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.
A Typical Day in the Job: Provide first-line IT support to internal users via phone, email, instant messaging, and remote tools.
Assist with setting up and configuring devices, including desktops, laptops, smartphones, printers, and other company hardware.
Support and troubleshoot networked devices, including switches, routers, and printers, both wired and wireless.
Help install and configure software, including operating systems, Microsoft Office, productivity tools, and monitoring software, locally and remotely.
Manage user accounts, access permissions, password resets, and email or shared drive access.
Monitor IT security and maintenance tasks, including antivirus software, system updates, and VPN access.
Assist with implementing new IT systems and infrastructure, and liaise with external suppliers for escalations or third-party support.
Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the Baltic team.
Salary, Hours & Benefits: £16,500 to £20,750 per annum

Fully office based

GCSE Grade 5 in English and grade 4 in Maths is required for this role
This Level 3 apprenticeship provides everything you need to immerse yourself in the exciting world of technology and launch a rewarding career in IT.
You'll get hands-on experience in all areas of technical support, from configuring devices to supporting with software, optimising performance and setting up virtual environments. With our unique curriculum and one-to-one support, you'll accelerate your skills and get the qualification and confidence you need to thrive in IT.
You'll be based full time with an employer and will quickly become an important part of the team. Our training is 100% online, including real-time classes with our expert trainers and self-paced courses created by industry specialists.
