As an HR Adviser, you'll support leaders across the organisation to implement HR policies and processes fairly and consistently. You'll bring a positive, solutions-focused approach, strong interpersonal skills, and a genuine desire to help others. We're seeking someone proactive, with the ability to build trust, communicate clearly, and apply sound judgement. Previous experience in employee relations and a sound knowledge of UK employment law is desirable.
This is a key role in our People Team, supporting the delivery of a positive employee experience and helping to build a healthy, high-performing culture.
As our HR Adviser, you will:
* Provide first-line support to leaders on disciplinary, grievance, performance, and well-being matters.
* Guide managers through absence management processes, including occupational health referrals and return-to-work support.
* Ensure consistent and compliant application of HR policies and employment law.
* Draft and review basic ER letters and escalate complex cases to HRBPs or the ER team.
* Support performance appraisals and the development of performance improvement plans (PIPs).
* Promote employee engagement and development initiatives.
* Manage HR cases through a case management tool, maintaining accurate records and ensuring timely resolution.
* Identify trends and recommend policy improvements to mitigate future risks.
* Collaborate with legal advisers, occupational health, and other stakeholders on complex cases.
