In this high-impact role, you will take ownership of complex, large-scale projects from concept through to completion — ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. Reporting into the Contracts Manager, you’ll play a key part in aligning project execution with broader business objectives, managing cross-functional teams and acting as a key liaison between clients, internal departments and external stakeholders.
We’re looking for a proven project leader with a strong background in engineering or construction environments and deep experience managing multiple concurrent projects, budgets, timelines and stakeholder expectations.
Your ability to plan strategically, solve problems decisively and communicate clearly will be critical to success.

Responsibilities
1. Project manage installation of major projects
* Upon order receipt initiate contact with relevant site contacts and maintain close contact to fully understand customer’s programme of works
* Prepare programme of works for Steelway installation activity, identifying resource and plant requirements and ensuring alignment with quoted allocations.
* Ensure all necessary documentation, including RAMS are completed and approved in a timely manner
* Attend site meetings as required and visit sites as required to maintain full understanding of project developments
* Co-ordinate site works and manage installation teams to ensure project is delivered in line with agreed specifications
* Co-ordinate with other team members to ensure the provision and allocation of resource in line with requirements
* Make necessary arrangements for the provision plant and equipment in line with requirements
* Co-ordinate with production management and planning teams to ensure the delivery of material in line with requirements
* Co-ordinate between customer, installation teams, drawing office and production management to resolve any discrepancies in a timely and cost-sensitive manner.
2. Co-ordinate pre-build activity
* At early stages of project, through communication with customer and based on commercial business case, identify projects suitable for pre-build assembly within the factory
* Liaise closely with design teams to provide input into the design to ensure that the project is designed for most effective and efficient pre-build, identifying and supporting the resolution of issues as they arise.
* Once approved and released for manufacture, co-ordinate with production teams to ensure pre-build requirements are understood and maintain regular contact with pre-build teams to ensure the prebuild is completed to the correct specification and intent.
* Min of 2 years of Projects/Contracts Management experience in steel fabrication and site work.
* Strong communication and organisational skills.
* IT literate – standard Microsoft suite including Microsoft Project (preferred)
* Full driving license required.
* CSCS Black Card Holder
* CPCS Appointed person in lifting operations
* Recognised Health & Safety qualification (IOSH Managing safely or similar)
* Customer specific permits and qualifications will be required but these can be ascertained once in role.
* Experience of working on sites of major contractors advantageous
Additional Responsibilities
* Ensure work is carried out in line with safe working practices at all times
* Represent Steelway in a positive manner at all times
* Provide expert input on installation queries to sales and estimating team where required
* Provide summary reports where requested
