Role Overview
As a Software Engineer, you will be a key member of one of our agile Digital Squads—small, cross-functional teams dedicated to specific business areas. Your primary responsibility will be the development and evolution of our LIMS, a critical system supporting water quality analysis, sample tracking, and regulatory compliance across our laboratories.
You will work within an Agile Scrum and DevOps environment, collaborating closely with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, UX/UI Designers, User Researchers, and fellow engineers. You will also partner with Architecture, Security, and Service Operations teams to ensure our solutions are secure, reliable, and compliant with organizational standards. Our aim is to deliver a robust, user-focused LIMS that improves lab efficiency and data accuracy at scale.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage your workload using Kanban boards, maintaining focus and motivation
* Collaborate with your team to align on goals and priorities
* Participate in retrospectives and contribute to process improvements
* Translate laboratory and data requirements into scalable system features, advising Product Owners
* Design detailed system solutions, adhering to engineering standards
Core Accountabilities
Systems Analysis, Design & Estimation
* Understand user needs by working with Product Owners, Architecture, Security, and Analysts
* Create high-level designs, estimate development efforts, and define non-functional requirements
* Contribute to testing strategies and DevOps practices
Software Development & Support
* Develop and maintain LIMS modules and supporting cloud infrastructure
* Implement deployment strategies (CI/CD), maintain documentation, and support disaster recovery
* Lead testing activities, conduct code reviews, and provide third-line support for LIMS issues
Agile Practices
* Contribute to Agile ceremonies
* Assist in backlog refinement and reducing technical debt
* Promote a transparent, user-focused culture aligned with Scrum and company values
Candidate Profile

* Strong engineering discipline and pragmatic delivery approach
