The Role
We are seeking Teaching Assistants to join our dedicated team. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting autistic children with their learning, social development, and emotional regulation. Working closely with teachers and support staff, you will help deliver a curriculum that is engaging, inclusive, and tailored to individual needs.
* Supporting pupils with autism and SEMH needs both in and out of the classroom.
* Assisting in the delivery of engaging, differentiated lessons.
* Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils to encourage progress.
* Supporting the development of communication, independence, and life skills.
* Helping to manage behaviour positively and consistently in line with school policy.
* Providing one-to-one and small group support where required.
About You
We are looking for individuals who are:
* Compassionate, patient, and resilient.
* Passionate about supporting children with autism and SEMH needs.
* Flexible and able to adapt to different situations.
* Strong communicators who can work as part of a team.
* Willing to learn and develop professionally.
* Experience in an SEN/SEMH setting is desirable but not essential - full training and ongoing support will be provided for the right candidates.
