Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Vacuum Excavator Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience operating vacuum excavators in various environments. This role is crucial for the successful completion of our projects, ensuring that tasks are carried out efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities
* Operate vacuum excavator to perform excavation of carriageways and footways to facilitate gas mains replacement works on behalf of our client.
* Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of the vacuum excavator to ensure optimal performance.
* Collaborate with site supervisors and other team members to understand project requirements and timelines.
* Follow safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
* Assist in the loading and unloading of materials as required.
* Maintain accurate records of work performed and report any issues or concerns to management.
Experience
* Proven experience operating vacuum excavators in a highways setting is essential.
* Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
* A valid commercial driving licence is essential enabling the operation of lorries as needed on site.
* Ability to work in various weather conditions and adapt to changing site requirements.
