Overview
We are seeking a confident and dedicated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our small and friendly team at Blaircourt Pet Clinic, which runs alongside our 6 Vet Equine Practice based in the Essex countryside in Woodham Ferrers. This is a varied nursing role covering all aspects of general practice, including anaesthesia, surgical assistance, and nurse consultations. As a small clinic, this role suits someone who enjoys building relationships with clients and their animals, working well in a small team, and being involved with all aspects of the daily running of the clinic.
About Our Practice
We are based in Woodham Ferrers, 6 miles from Chelmsford City Centre, within 30 minutes of Stansted Airport and 30 minutes by train to London. Chelmsford offers historic architecture, countryside, and easy access to coastal towns and beaches. Our practice is well equipped with digital X-ray, in‑house blood facilities, multiparameter monitor, and laser therapy. We are a small clinic that takes pride in providing a personal service to our loyal clients.
Working Hours
This is a full-time role with 40 hours over 5 days, Monday to Friday (4 days 9:00–17:00 and 1 day 10:30–18:30).
There is no small animal out-of-hours cover; however, our current nursing team (equine and small animal) covers weekends for our Equine Practice on a rota currently 1 in 7. Candidates with no equine experience and/or not able to be part of this rota would be considered for a part-time role.
