The role includes:
* Building and assembling bespoke mechanical and electrical/electronic systems and components.
* Following work instructions, electrical and engineering schematics and drawings.
* Performing fault finding and implementing solutions on various systems and assemblies.
* Assisting in machinery calibration before testing.
* Implementing continuous improvement activities to maximize efficiency.
* Collaborating with cross-departmental teams on engineering projects (R&D, Production Engineering, Planning).
About you:
* Experience in high-value engineering or production environments.
* Strong skills in reading mechanical and electrical drawings and schematics.
* Relevant qualifications in electrical or mechanical fields are preferred.
* Proven track record of assembling complex mechanical and electrical products.
* PLC fault finding and programming skills are advantageous but not essential.
* Experience with programming robotic equipment is desirable.
* Resourceful, inquisitive, with a strong desire to learn and develop.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
