An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled Senior Geoenvironmental Engineer to join a dynamic consultancy team based in Birmingham. This role is ideal for someone looking to take the lead on complex ground risk projects, mentor junior staff, and drive innovation in environmental engineering.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage Phase I & II site investigations across a range of sectors
Develop robust conceptual site models and quantitative risk assessments
Design and oversee remediation strategies for contaminated land
Prepare high-quality technical reports, proposals, and client deliverables
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and regulatory bodies
Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers
Candidate Profile
Degree-qualified in Environmental Science, Geology, Civil Engineering or related discipline
Minimum 5 years’ experience in geoenvironmental consultancy or engineering
Strong understanding of UK contaminated land legislation and remediation techniques
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Chartered status (or working towards) with a relevant professional body (e.g. CGeol, CEng, CIWEM)
Full UK driving licence
