Role: PMLD & SEN Teaching Assistant
Pay: £465 - £500 per week

The Opportunity - Education and Training:
As a PMLD & SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils with a range of complex learning, physical, emotional, and behavioural needs. Many pupils require tailored communication approaches, sensory support, emotional regulation strategies, and assistance accessing learning in a safe and nurturing environment.
Pupils You Support May Experience:
* Profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD)
* Autism and communication difficulties
* Social, emotional, and behavioural needs
* Sensory processing needs
* Anxiety and emotional regulation difficulties
* Physical disabilities or complex medical needs
* Behavioural challenges linked to unmet needs or trauma
* Low confidence and difficulties building relationships
Key Responsibilities
* Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with PMLD and SEN needs
* Support pupils with communication, sensory activities, and personalised learning tasks
* Assist with emotional regulation and behaviour support strategies
* Help pupils develop independence, confidence, and social skills
* Act as a calm, positive, and consistent role model
* Support pupils with mobility and personal care where required
* Work closely with teachers, therapists, SEN staff, and pastoral teams
* Help maintain a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment
