Join us at the Money and Pensions Service (MaPS) as a Product Manager (Data Products). This role offers you the chance to make a significant impact by leading the development and continuous improvement of data products that support the Pensions Dashboard and MoneyHelper Pensions Dashboard programmes, delivering value to internal users and key external stakeholders including the Department for Work and Pensions, The Pensions Regulator, and the Financial Conduct Authority.
This role is aligned to the Product Manager level in the: Product Manager Framework. You'll be part of a dynamic team dedicated to helping people across the UK improve their financial wellbeing.
The Product Manager for Data Products will report directly to the Lead Product Manager for Data Products. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Supporting the development of data products underpinning the MoneyHelper Pension Dashboard and related programmes.
2. Leading the iterative development of data products, ensuring alignment with user needs and organisational goals.
3. Collaborating with BI analysts and UI/UX designers to enhance usability and accessibility of data products, primarily Power BI dashboards.
4. Ensuring data products are accessible and valuable to external organisations including government and regulatory bodies.
5. Using product usage data to inform prioritisation and lifecycle decisions.
6. Addressing legal, privacy, and governance considerations early in the product lifecycle.
7. Managing the development and iteration of data products or services.
8. Engaging with stakeholders to understand needs and manage expectations.
9. Translating user needs and business goals into product outcomes.
10. Maintaining and communicating product roadmaps and backlogs.
11. Collaborating with delivery managers, designers, analysts, engineers, and developers to deliver value.
12. Using evidence and data to inform product decisions and prioritisation.
13. Contributing to the wider product community at MaPS.
To excel in this role, you will need to demonstrate:
* Product management experience managing data products or services such as business intelligence dashboards.
* Knowledge of Agile and Lean practices supporting delivery.
* Applying user-centred insights to improve product outcomes.
* Creating value for money by identifying reuse and efficiency opportunities.
