Multi-Skilled Operator

We are partnering with a leading UK broadcast & media services provider to hire two Multi-Skilled Operators to join their growing technical operations team. This is an opportunity to work at the centre of high-profile live broadcast and AV environments, supporting critical coverage and technical delivery across a range of prestigious locations.
As part of a multi-skilled team, you’ll support the rigging, operation, and first-line maintenance of broadcast and AV equipment including cameras, microphones, vision control, audio desks, VC platforms, and web streaming tools. No two days look the same each shift brings new setups, technical challenges and live moments requiring focus, calmness and problem-solving.
This role is ideal for someone with at least 1 year AV operational experience, who is ready to broaden their skills and develop across live broadcast, sound, video, and technical production.
What You’ll Do:
* Supporting live sessions across a variety of broadcast and AV spaces
* Rigging and operating cameras, microphones, PA systems and technical equipment
* Managing video conferencing sessions and supporting remote contributors
* Patching, routing and configuring audio and video sources
* Troubleshooting technical issues in live environments and implementing workarounds
* Working collaboratively within a small, supportive operational team
* Providing a calm, professional presence in high-profile environments
What You'll Bring:
* A background in AV operations (flexible to years of experience)
* Strong technical aptitude and confidence learning new systems
* Ability to work under pressure and maintain accuracy in live environments
* Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented approach
* Flexibility to work shifts between 07:00–21:00 (with occasional weekends)
* Enthusiasm, curiosity and a genuine interest in broadcast, AV, and live media
* An understanding of current affairs or political environments is a bonus
