Job Title: Children’s Social Worker – Nottingham – Child Protection Team
Location: Nottingham
Rate: £35 – £37ph
A Children’s Social Worker is required to join Nottingham’s Child Protection team. This is a great opportunity to be part of a close-knit team.
Responsibilities
* Take personal responsibility for continuing professional development and maintaining performance levels.
* Manage your time effectively and respond flexibly to service needs.
* Manage cases including Child in Need and Child Protection; conduct visits, assessments, and meetings; organize and chair meetings with professionals and families.
* Present cases in Child Protection and CLA reviews, as well as court work and PLO, as part of the role.
* Provide support and cover for the Team Manager and/or Principal Manager.
* Actively participate in the performance management system, including supervision, PAR, team meetings, and service reviews.
* Follow departmental health and safety procedures and develop skills through work experience in various divisional situations (e.g., secondments, job rotation, and shadowing).
* Contribute to information management processes and support social work students on placement under the direction of the Principal or Practice Manager; act as a workplace supervisor or Practice Teacher if appropriately trained.
* Understand and integrate into practice the key policies of the council in relation to social care with children and families, especially multi-disciplinary working, integration, and whole family approaches.

Qualifications and Experience
To be successful in this role, you must have Social Work England registration, be eligible to work in the UK, hold a full UK driving licence, and have post-qualified experience. A degree level or equivalent qualification in Social Work is also required.
