Overview
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Driver's Mate / Driver's Assistant to support our Delivery and Collection Team operations. You will assist the Delivery Driver with loading, unloading, and transportation of goods, ensuring excellent customer service and safe handling of items. This role involves working with charity shops or retail white goods, such as furniture, electrical appliances, and household items.
Key Responsibilities
1. Assist the driver with loading and unloading of deliveries and collections
2. Safely handle and transport furniture, appliances, and other goods
3. Provide excellent customer service when delivering to charity shops or customers
4. Ensure all items are delivered in good condition and placed as required
5. Navigate routes and assist with directions when needed
6. Help maintain a clean and safe vehicle and warehouse/storage areas
7. Follow health and safety procedures, including manual handling techniques
8. Complete basic paperwork and records for deliveries and collections
9. Assist in recycling or disposing of unwanted items as per company policies
10. Work alongside a friendly removals crew to help clients move locally and across the UK
11. From packing and loading white goods/charity items, to installing and cleaning packaging, no two days will be the same
12. Play a key role in making the day as smooth and stress-free as possible for clients and customers
13. Full training will be provided to ensure confidence in every part of the role
Requirements

4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
5. Ability to manage collections, deliveries, and documentation efficiently

7. Physical fitness for manual handling and heavy lifting
8. Time management skills to meet deadlines
