Job Title: Transport Planner
Location: Redditch
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 (Depending on Experience)
Job Type : Permanent, Full Time
Working Hours: Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm (1 hour unpaid lunch break)
We're currently seeking an organised & proactive Transport Planner to join our client based in Redditch. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy working closely with drivers, warehouse teams, and customers, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
Duties Will Include:
· Schedule vehicle and trailer maintenance, ensuring all defects are logged and rectified promptly.
· Plan daily loads and create accurate loading lists for the warehouse team.
· Maintain regular communication with drivers both face-to-face and over the phone.
· Manage driver card and vehicle download processes to ensure compliance.
· Handle rating and invoicing duties efficiently and accurately.
· Oversee driver clock-ins/outs and manage holiday request processes.
· Deliver high-quality customer service by responding to inbound calls and emails in a professional manner.
Skills and Experience Needed:
* Experience within a similar role is essential
* Excellent communication & administration skills
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-moving business
* Good geographical knowledge
* Analytical and problem-solving skills
