The Opportunity
As Deputy Head of Regulatory Reporting, you will combine deep technical expertise with the presence and credibility to influence at the highest levels. Acting as a trusted deputy to the Head of Regulatory Reporting, you will ensure flawless delivery of all statutory and regulatory reporting, while inspiring and developing a talented team.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and oversee the preparation of accurate, timely regulatory submissions (PRA, FCA, EBA/ECB, Basel III/IV capital, liquidity, leverage).
* Act as a senior point of contact for regulators, auditors, and internal governance committees, representing the bank with authority and composure.
* Translate complex regulatory requirements into clear strategies, guiding both senior stakeholders and junior team members.
* Drive process improvements, automation, and enhanced controls, embedding a culture of quality and accountability.
* Provide mentorship and structured development for direct reports, building a motivated, high-performing team. Managing a multi-jurisdictional team
* Deputise fully for the Head of Regulatory Reporting in governance forums, audits, and executive committees.
* Collaborate across finance, risk, data, and technology to ensure robust end-to-end reporting processes.
* Lead or contribute to regulatory change and transformation programmes, ensuring seamless implementation.
Experience & Attributes
* 8+ years’ regulatory reporting experience within a major banking institution.
* Comprehensive knowledge of PRA/FCA/EBA requirements, Basel frameworks, capital and liquidity risk.
* Exceptional technical ability combined with the gravitas to influence and challenge senior stakeholders.
* Demonstrated leadership skills: proven ability to develop teams, set clear expectations, and lead through change.
* Strong project/change management experience, with a record of driving automation and process optimisation.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills—able to convey complex technical matters clearly and persuasively.
* Integrity, resilience, and sound judgement under pressure.
