Position: Personal Assistant & Driver (part‑time)
Hours: 2 hours per week with scope for increase to the hours worked (to be arranged)
Area: Newcastle Upon Tyne
Rate: £12.90 per hour
Driver Essential
This role is predominantly for a driver to assist with shopping but may include the other tasks listed.
About Sultana
Sultana is a lovely lady living in Newcastle Upon Tyne with her two daughters; her youngest daughter has health issues. Sultana has various health issues including Spondylosis that affect her mobility and mental health. She used to love driving, but has been unable to recently.
Responsibilities
* Assist Sultana with driving to the community and shopping.
* Help with shopping, including lifting heavy items and carrying assistance for recipes.
* Cook Bengali traditional dishes, including batch preparation and Asian cuisine and desserts.
* Assist with personal care tasks such as showering and dressing.
* Perform domestic tasks including laundry, house cleaning, and keeping home tidy.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Experience cooking Bengali traditional dishes and Asian desserts.
* Ability to assist with personal care and household tasks.
* Driver licence and reliable vehicle (driver essential).
* Good communication skills.
* Permission to work in the U.K. at the start of employment.
