This is a great opportunity for a highly motivated Financial Accountant to make an immediate contribution to the finance team. They will provide support and guidance on complex accounting matters, exercising sound judgement in arriving at those decisions alongside being able to demonstrate the high level of control required when operating within a financial services environment.
Client Details: My client is a well established, consumer‑led organisation which operates within the Financial Services sector. They are well respected by their growing client base and customer service is at the forefront of their values which has led to the organisation’s continued success.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities
* Clear accountability for month‑end and year‑end processes
* Ownership of tasks and deliverables for the year‑end audit in accordance with FRS102
* Pro‑active relationship with governance teams
* Provide a high standard of customer service at all times, including liaison with other functions and external stakeholders as required
* Manage the delivery of a range of daily tasks, to include but not limited to the daily control reconciliations, bank recs, setting up of bank payments, and recording of accounting entries
* Assistance on matters of regulatory reporting and financial accounting as required
* Ad hoc project work and duties
Profile
* ACA / ACCA qualified with ideally 2 years PQE
* Experience in a technical accounting focused role
* Strong communication skills
* Experience working within a financial services environment – desirable
* Experience using Power Apps and Sequel
