A welcoming primary school in Oxford is recruiting a highly motivated Year 3 Teacher to join the Key Stage 2 team from January 2026. The successful Year 3 Teacher will plan and deliver coherent, knowledge-rich sequences that build pupils’ fluency in reading, writing and mathematics. This Year 3 Teacher will work with experienced colleagues to moderate standards, lead small-group support and contribute to whole-school curriculum development. The appointment will begin January 2026, with induction and planning sessions scheduled in the weeks leading up to January 2026 to ensure the Year 3 Teacher can hit the ground running.

The Year 3 Teacher will design stimulating lessons, use assessment to adapt provision and run targeted interventions that accelerate progress. Responsibilities
* Plan and teach sequenced Year 3 lessons that develop subject knowledge and application.
* Use assessment to identify gaps and implement timely small-group work and interventions.
* Work closely with TAs to scaffold learning and support diverse needs across Year 3.
* Communicate progress and next steps clearly to families and contribute to reporting.
* Participate in moderation, curriculum planning and whole-school improvement activity in Oxford.
Person specification
* Qualified teacher with recent, successful Year 3 or KS2 experience.
* Strong subject knowledge in English and maths and evidence of impact in Year 3.
* Excellent classroom practice, organisational skills and a reflective approach.
* Committed to collaborative working and to the school community in Oxford.
* Available to start January 2026 and to attend induction before January 2026.
