Upon successful completion of the Apprenticeship, there may be an opportunity to transition into an IT support role as a permanent member of the team.
Responsibilities:
1. Attend and complete an appropriate apprenticeship course on time and to a high standard.
2. Under the supervision of the IT Support Manager, actively use the Archway IT Manual to deliver IT services to end users, ensuring all relevant procedures are followed.
3. Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network and server systems.
4. Ensure all end-user IT equipment and software are well maintained, functioning properly, and safe.
5. Install hardware/software as required.
6. Support the day-to-day arrangements for the delivery and collection of repairable items to suppliers.
7. Demonstrate and/or set up IT and AV equipment for events.
8. Assist in monitoring and replenishing consumable items such as printer cartridges, mice, and keyboards.
9. Assist in adhering to software licensing agreements.
10. Prepare user documentation to assist staff and students in using the systems.
11. Support monitoring the system for misuse and escalate findings as appropriate.
12. Support the enhancement and operation of a high-quality learning environment.
Full-time working hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:00 pm. Some flexibility may be required to meet the needs of the business.
