We are partnering with a leading UK apprenticeship training provider in search of a Sales Director to spearhead its go-to-market strategy and wider business development activities. This is a unique opportunity for a visionary executive to play a pivotal role in driving revenue, shaping commercial strategy, and elevating the provider’s presence across the UK.
About the Role:
As Sales Director, you'll be the driving force behind our commercial success—overseeing sales, marketing, business development, and customer engagement. You'll develop and execute strategies that boost growth, strengthen client relationships, and ensure exceptional learner and employer satisfaction.
Your Core Responsibilities:
* Lead the commercial strategy in alignment with the organisation’s growth ambitions.
* Design and deliver impactful sales and marketing campaigns that generate leads and build brand awareness.
* Drive business development, forging new partnerships and identifying fresh opportunities within the apprenticeship sector.
* Inspire high-performing teams across sales, marketing, and customer service, cultivating a culture of excellence.
* Ensure service quality meets the highest standards—aligned with Ofsted, funding bodies, and awarding organisation requirements.
* Own the numbers—meet and exceed revenue targets, manage budgets, and report on commercial KPIs.
* Champion customer success with a relentless focus on learner and employer satisfaction.
* Stay ahead of the curve, introducing innovative approaches to keep us competitive and cutting-edge.
* Ensure full compliance with apprenticeship funding and regulatory requirements.
What You Bring:
* A proven track record in commercial leadership, ideally within the apprenticeship or broader vocational training sector.
* Deep expertise in sales, marketing, and business development strategies.
* Strong leadership experience managing cross-functional teams.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Strategic thinking paired with a data-driven, analytical mindset.
* Solid understanding of the UK apprenticeship landscape, including funding, quality assurance, and regulatory frameworks.
