Compensation : $130K
What You’ll Be Doing
* Designing and optimizing gradient boosting ML models (XGBoost, LightGBM, CatBoost)
* Delivering high-accuracy financial and operational forecasts
* Engineering and tuning robust, interpretable models with open-source tools
* Using internal + external datasets, including macroeconomic indicators
* Translating insights via Power BI/Tableau dashboards and stakeholder presentations
* Collaborating closely with finance, ops, and analytics leaders
* Applying modeling best practices like version control and performance testing
What You’ll Need to be Considered
* Must be local to Birmingham
* Demonstrated expertise with gradient boosting frameworks (XGBoost, LightGBM, etc.)
* Strong experience forecasting KPIs like sales trends, AR, and working capital
* Comfort building from scratch using open-source ML tools and Python or R
* Ability to translate complex models into actionable insight
* Exposure to data visualization tools (Power BI preferred)
* Experience leading modeling projects or mentoring others
