DrPA has been operating in secure environments since 2014 providing General Practitioner services and we are now growing to provide a complete healthcare service at Campsfield House Immigration Removal Centre (IRC). This will be delivered directly or through a range of specialist partners who are experts in their field.We deliver our services based on our ethos of CARE:

Campsfield House Immigration Removal Centre (IRC)
Campsfield House IRC is a secure facility currently designed to accommodate up to 160 male residents in both single and dual occupancy rooms. The centre houses a combination of time-served foreign national offenders and immigration offenders while the Home Office arranges their removal from the UK.
Residents are not permitted to leave the centre or access the local area. Consequently, recreational, educational, healthcare, living, and faith-related facilities are provided entirely onsite.
The healthcare department provides a range of services including primary care, mental health, substance misuse, pharmacy, dental, optometry, physiotherapy, podiatry, and audiology delivered either by us or our specialist partners.

During this period, you will be undertaking your company and centre induction, supporting setting up the department, helping where required, and generally supporting the service to go live as prepared as we can be.
Job Summary
Join a new service at Campsfield House IRC focused on providing a high-quality service to the residents.
The duties of this role will be to work with the senior Mental Health Nurse, Head of Healthcare and Senior Clinical Lead to provide dedicated mental health care.You will work within the multidisciplinary team to deliver excellent holistic healthcare, which iscompassionate,effective, evidenced based, person-centre and non-judgemental. You will work in partnership with healthcare colleagues to share knowledge, skills and expertise ensuring a trusting, caring environment develops which supports colleagues and others in the team to continue their professional development, including providing leadership to junior staff.
The Healthcare team will model a culture of compassion focused care, whilst demonstrating commitment and clinical competence. You will work closely with our team, partners and stakeholders collaboratively striving for continuous quality improvement and ensuring mental healthcare is provided effectively whilst maintaining records in accordance with DrPA governance policies.
Duties
Support mental health reception screening
Following initial reception screen, if mental health issues are identified, complete a more in depth assessment, develop treatment/interventions/ strategies to support the individuals mental health needs using the appropriate evidence based screening tools
Support the junior mental health nurse, providing guidance, support and supervision.
Work with the multidisciplinary team (MDT) to develop treatment /intervention options through the provision of supportive care plans
Be the named nurse for mental health issues and work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic safe, clinically effective mental heath care.
Have excellent written and communication skills ensuring mental healthcare records are developed, maintained and communicated to the MDT.
Administer medications in accordance with DrPA agreed policies and guidance
Provide advice to MDT and operational team members on the management of complex mental health issues.
Undertake risk assessments and take appropriate action if the individual presents serious mental health concerns i.e. suicide, self-harm or injury to others.
Strong communication skills are paramount, ensuring individuals will be always treated with respect and empathy.
Develop a mental health promotion program, visible from initial reception at the IRC to release and deportation, building a strategy for mental health resilience and wellbeing for both individuals and staff
Please note the role will include night shifts as part of the rota.
Criteria
Essential
Registered Mental Nurse (RMN) on the NMC register with no restrictions to practice
Evidence of Continued Professional Development Experience of supervising and mentoring junior staff.
Ability to participate in multi professional teamwork.
Ability to work without direct supervision
Excellent communication skills
Believe and work within Dr PA Secures values
Strong written documentation and communication skills
Organise own workload and manage time effectively, working in a fast-paced environment
Desirable
?Have experience and knowledge of working in a secure environment

Disclosure and Barring Service Check & CTC Clearance
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
This post will require the holder to undertake and successfully complete the Counter Terrorism Clearance (CTC) process.
