About the Position

Based in our Leeds Office.

Reporting to a Team Leader and collaborating across the rail sector, your anticipated responsibilities include:

1. Providing technical assistance and analytical support in demand and revenue forecasting, crowding and CAD modelling, and business case appraisals for rail franchising and transport scheme appraisals
2. Supporting Senior Engineers and Consultants to deliver value to our clients.
3. Prepare project reports and other technical documentation, support at client presentations and assist with bids, proposals and marketing activities
4. Application of your acquired skills, sharing knowledge across the wider business groups
5. Successful contribution to and delivery of projects in a team environment

To deliver against these responsibilities you will demonstrate:

6. An honours degree in relevant subject area
7. Interest in the rail industry; knowledge of public transport fares and ticketing strategies, business case and value for money appraisals and the challenges around decarbonisation is advantageous
8. Previous experience of complex spreadsheet applications and handling of large and complex data sets
9. Intermediate use of Microsoft suite, particularly Excel, and PowerPoint, familiarity with GIS
10. Be a problem solver and collaborative teammate with good communication skills
