Political Affairs Internship (Remote)
Are you passionate about making a difference in the world? The Borgen Project
is an international organization that works at the political level to improve living conditions
for people impacted by war, famine and poverty.
With over 20 years of experience in advocacy, The Borgen Project has supported the passage of
numerous bills benefiting close to 500 million people in developing countries.
About the Role
The Political Affairs Internship focuses on making poverty a priority within U.S., Canadian,
and U.K. foreign policy.
Part-time (12 hours per week)
12-week program
Remote position

Flexible schedule — complete earlier if working ahead
Key Responsibilities
Lead public and political outreach in your state or district
Meet with members of Congress/Government in your constituency
Represent The Borgen Project at business, political, and community events
Assist with fundraising activities
Create and manage a personal fundraising campaign
Mobilize individuals to contact government representatives
Speak to groups, classes, and organizations
Write letters of support to political leaders, media, and organizations
Experience
No prior experience is required. We are looking for individuals passionate about fighting
poverty and creating positive change, regardless of GPA or background.
