Salary: 14.20 per hour
Veritas Education are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Morecambe for the full academic year (2025/2026).
This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual passionate about supporting children's education and development, particularly in Key Stage 2.
The successful candidate will be providing general TA support in a Year 6 classroom, helping to prepare pupils for the transition to secondary school.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and activities
* Working with small groups or individual pupils to reinforce learning in maths and English
* Assisting with classroom management and maintaining a positive learning environment
* Helping to prepare learning materials and resources
* Providing feedback to the teacher on pupil progress and behaviour
Requirements:
* Previous experience working with children, ideally within a primary school setting
* Strong knowledge of KS2 core subjects, particularly English and maths
* A genuine passion for education and supporting pupil progress
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* A proactive and flexible approach to working with pupils and staff
A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant, or similar) is essential. This role is ideal for teaching graduates looking to gain school-based experience or TAs seeking a new opportunity.
