Role Overview
This role is responsible for overseeing inventory management and related systems within the UK, including all EU distribution centers (DCs), ensuring operational efficiency, accuracy, and cost-effectiveness. The role also involves leading and developing the stock integrity, compliance, and control room teams. Additionally, the role contributes to the ‘Kingsway optimisation’ initiatives, solution design, and automation development, and is part of the senior leadership team, involved in all site matters.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Leading the control room and stock integrity teams based in the UK
2. Managing stock compliance for UK and EU DCs
3. Identifying system and stock inefficiencies and implementing improvements
4. Optimizing space utilization within the facility and recommending enhancements
5. Managing stock integrity functions cost-effectively, including availability, service levels, security, cycle counts, and reconciliation
6. Collaborating with stakeholders on inventory accuracy and audits
7. Ensuring compliance standards are met across operations
8. Developing data analytics to support inventory and compliance decisions
9. Influencing management to support KPI achievement related to stock and systems
10. Designing and organizing warehouse solutions to maximize productivity
11. Supporting operational leadership to improve throughput in Ecommerce and Retail
12. Promoting a culture of Continuous Improvement
Ideal Candidate Profile:
* High proficiency in WMS and computer literacy
* Experience with automation, particularly with implementations like PSB and Dematic (desirable)
* Relevant experience in high-volume warehouse operations, preferably in omni-channel retail distribution
* Engaging and positive leadership style
