We are currently partnering with a Local Authority based in Dorset, who are recruiting for a Data Protection Officer on a 3 month, rolling contract basis. It's a remote role, however office attendance in Bournemouth is required circa. twice per month.
This is a full-time position with a negotiable daily rate of pay and the start date is subject to notice.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
1. Managing GDPR and Data Protection compliance across the Council
2. Responding to and managing data breach notifications
3. Implementing FOI case management systems and policies
4. Providing expertise to internal stakeholders across the Council
Experience required:
5. Experience required as a Data Protection Officer
6. Local Government experience desirable
