Overview
Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting for Teaching Assistants to start in September in the Driffield and surrounding areas. These roles are across various age groups and contract lengths, so whether you are seeking part-time or full-time work, we will support you.
The pay for the roles varies between £90–£100 per day initially, with half-day rates in line with this. Shifts are typically Monday to Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm; half-day times are to be discussed on a role-by-role basis.
Roles involve supporting children on a 1:1 basis across different classes. Some pupils may have undiagnosed needs or display behaviour challenges. A knowledge of supporting SEND and behaviour is ideal, and you may be required to help deliver Phonics, so knowledge of this is essential.
Location and opportunities
Located within the Driffield area, schools are accessible by car with limited public transport in some areas. There is a staff car park with spaces available. Tradewind offers development through CPD via The National College and signing up for this role may lead to other shifts and roles with Tradewind Recruitment.
Responsibilities
* Support pupils with 1:1 teaching across classes, including pupils with SEND and behavioural needs.
* Assist with Phonics delivery where required.
* Support the class teacher with general classroom duties to enable effective learning.
Qualifications
* Experience working within UK schools.
* Experience supporting in UK schools and experience with SEND pupils; knowledge of EYFS and KS1 curriculum is desirable.
* Enhanced DBS Disclosure, overseas police clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks.
* CV must cover full employment history.
* Legal right to work in the UK.
