Job overview

An exciting opportunity for a self‑motivated, highly organised, adaptable and enthusiastic individual to join our service and support the Mid Cornwall Integrated Community Managers (ICM) as their Secretary. The role also includes supporting the other area ICMs and leads.

The ICMs help manage and support the Adult Community Services, including Community Nurses, Community Therapists, Homefirst and other community teams.

The post holder should have effective organisational, communication and interpersonal skills, be able to prioritise work, handle difficult situations and work flexibly as part of a team. They should integrate well with existing teams, supporting the functions of the teams and the ICMs and have a genuine desire to contribute to a quality service for patients. A caring and sensitive approach to their work and clear communication with colleagues and external representatives is essential.


Main duties of the job

The purpose of the post is to provide comprehensive secretarial support to the Integrated Community Manager, facilitating key functions within the integrated community. This involves liaising and communicating with teams and partners while maintaining confidentiality, delivering excellent customer care, organising meetings and appointments, taking and distributing notes, and inputting and recording data.

Education and Qualifications

* Good standard of education
* RSA Stage 3 or equivalent
* Typing or Word Processing proficiency
* Computer literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
* Previous experience in a healthcare office environment
* Previous experience of minute taking and arranging meetings
* NVQ 3 Administration or equivalent experience


Skills and Aptitude

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to prioritise own workload and work unsupervised
* Attention to detail and time management skills
