Vacancy: Sister/Charge Nurse – Children's Emergency Department
A secondment opportunity for a Sister/Charge Nurse within our Children’s Emergency Departments for a period of 14 months.
About the role
Provide expert emergency care to children and their families attending our two children’s emergency departments at King George and Queens Hospitals.
Support senior sister/charge nurse and act as nurse in charge of the department when on shift.
Support junior staff and participate in management of the team.
Responsibilities
* Provide the highest standard of evidence‑based, patient‑centred care.
* Show passion for education, training and development of staff.
* Share and promote the PRIDE values (Passion, Responsibility, Innovation, Drive, Empowerment).
* Support the senior sister/charge nurse and assume charge of the department during shifts.
* Assist junior staff and collaborate with the wider multidisciplinary team.

Contract details
14‑month fixed‑term contract, duration may be slightly shorter to accommodate the hiring process.
