Overview
Are you an experienced Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic and want to gain experience within the waste industry? Join our supportive and friendly teams based in Welshpool 6160.
As a Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic you will be responsible for servicing and maintenance within Veolias workshop, maintaining commercial waste vehicles, plant and equipment, and attending breakdowns whilst on roster.
Monday - Friday 12.30pm to 9.00pm, week day overtime as required.
What youll be responsible for
* To service, maintain and repair plant, equipment and fleet vehicles in a timely manner
* Complete scheduled daily work tasks as directed by the Workshop Supervisor/Leading Hand in an efficient and timely manner
* Complete work orders, purchase orders and part requisitions daily and in full
* Record, monitor stock and part levels and advise any discrepancies
What youll need to be successful
* Australian recognised Diesel / Heavy Vehicle Mechanics trade certificate
* Proven mechanical knowledge / experience within the automotive repair industry
* Forklift ticket is desirable
* HR licence
Willingness to undergo a National Police Clearance and medical check relevant to the role
