Overview
Nottinghamshire County Council are developing all-age ways of working in Social Work Community Teams. A permanent, part-time Advanced Social Work Practitioner vacancy has arisen across our Bassetlaw Social Work Community Team. The role is based at Worksop Library, S80 2BP and Sherwood Energy Village, New Ollerton, NG22 9GW. The position is hybrid, with 18.5 hours per week and a pro rata salary of £44,075 - £49,282 per annum.
Responsibilities
* Develop as a practice lead to support the Team Manager in implementing change and embedding new ways of working.
* Promote the principles of strength-based approaches, choice and control, personalisation, and self-directed support to help people and their care givers assess and manage their own needs, risks, and uncertainties.
* Supervise and mentor staff and manage a small, complex caseload with mixed priorities.
* Safeguard vulnerable people and act as safeguarding manager for supervisees.
* Work collaboratively with Social Workers, Occupational Therapists and Community Care Officers in a fast-paced team to enable integrated working with partners.
Qualifications and Experience
* Social Work Qualification and registration with Social Work England.
* Either Approved Mental Health Practitioner (AMHP), Best Interests Assessor (BIA) or Practice Educator (Level 2).
* Knowledge and experience of safeguarding adults within multi-agency procedures.
* Experience of staff supervision, training, and development.
* Full driving licence and use of a car for work; taxi service available for disabled employees.
