Social Media Manager - Home based ( Head office in West Yorkshire). Global FMCG Brand | Disruptive Growth Role.
We're looking for a bold, high-energy Social Media Manager ready to shake things up. This isn't a maintenance role. This is about growth, impact, and disruption. You'll own the voice of a global FMCG brand across social platforms, creating work that provokes, sparks conversation, and drives real commercial results. You'll challenge convention, test daring ideas, and work with world-class marketing teams to deliver campaigns that cut through crowded markets. Most importantly, you'll be someone who thrives on doing more with less delivering standout results for brands competing against bigger category players. The Role
Your focus will be driving brand impact through Organic, Earned and Owned social media, supported by creative sampling and attention-grabbing brand stunts.
Organic, Earned & Owned Social Media
* Build and optimise channel-specific social strategies that grow audience and engagement
* Drive Tone of Voice optimisation across platforms
* Lead content creation, deployment and rapid iteration to maximise performance
* Work with agencies to optimise performance and execution
* Analyse data and insights to continuously refine tactics and strategy
* Translate global brand guidance into high-performing local activation
* Deliver insight-driven targeting of key consumer segments by platform
* Develop and manage influencer partnerships (primary, mid-tier, and micro) that deliver measurable results
* You'll combine data, instinct, and creativity to push boundaries and make our brand impossible to ignore.
* Sampling Experience preferred, but a genuine passion to deliver results is essential.
Activities
* Campaign sampling mid-volume activations supporting integrated campaigns across price, POS, social, PR and product
* Traditional sampling high-footfall environments such as train stations or major events
* Targeted sampling precision programmes aimed at key audiences (e.g. workplaces, student communities, subscription boxes)
Brand Stunts
You'll help create low-fi but high-impact physical and digital stunts designed to fuel PR, social content and retail conversations. Examples could include:
* Pop-up activations
* Competitions and experiential tastings
* Creative provocations designed to spark consumer or trade buzz
What You'll Bring
* Proven success managing social media for a consumer brand, ideally FMCG
* A fearless, idea-driven mindset experimenting, testing and learning fast
* Demonstrable success delivering notable results with fewer resources than category-dominant competitors
* Deep understanding of platform algorithms, influencer culture and paid amplification strategies
* Strong experience with analytics, tracking and performance optimisation
* Energy, agility and the confidence to make bold calls and challenge convention
Profile
Brand-side experience preferred, but strong agency candidates will also be considered.
