Job Title: Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA)
Location: Barnsley (S70, S71)
Pay rate: £460 -£600 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day Supply

GSL Education are welcoming applications for a SEN Teaching Assistant to work with schools based in Barnsley’s S70 and S71 regions, providing tailored support to students with autism, SEMH, and challenging behaviours.
As a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA), you will provide targeted support, help pupils access the curriculum, and encourage independence and confidence in their learning.
Prime Responsibilities:
* Work one-to-one or in small groups to support students with additional needs.
* Assist in delivering tailored learning activities and resources.
* Encourage positive behaviour and social skills development.
* Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
* Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment.
Requirements for SEN Teaching Assistant:
* Experience supporting children with special educational needs.
* Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively with teaching staff and other professionals.
* An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
* Commitment to promoting student growth and well-being.
