Based at Hazel Court, you'll work operationally on the highways on a variety of tasks/projects including alterations to existing adopted highway schemes, lighting maintenance on York's bridges, street lighting projects on housing developments, flood lighting schemes and on the city's monuments.
Ideally, we're looking for somebody with experience working in the Highway Electrical industry, but we're open to applications from all suitably qualified electricians.
This is a varied and hands-on role that requires strong technical knowledge, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to high standards. You'll work independently and as part of a small team, often in challenging environments, and will be expected to manage your own workload, maintain accurate records, and communicate effectively with colleagues, contractors, and customers.
