Java Solution Architect (DV CLEARED)
* Contract Type: Contractor
* Location: Basingstoke, Hampshire - fully on site
* Rate: £600 per day inside IR35
* Working Pattern: Monday to Friday
* Contract duration: 6 months+
* Mandatory: DV Clearance active (will not consider non-cleared professionals)
We are seeking a Java Solution Architect to join our dynamic team, committed to making the world more sustainable through innovation. This role is based in a fast-paced environment where you will have the opportunity to grow and enhance your skills in Java development.
Day-to-Day of the Role:
* Design, create, test, and document new and amended programs from supplied specifications, adhering to agreed standards.
* Provide application maintenance and support services, either directly to users of the applications or to service delivery functions.
* Design or undertake impact analysis of medium-sized solutions or partial solutions within a large established architecture.
* Schedule and monitor your own work, with minimal need for escalation.
* Contribute to solution reviews and continuous improvement efforts within the team.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Minimum of 3 years of Java development experience within an enterprise environment.
* Strong understanding of source control and CI/CD principles.
* Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
Desirable Skills:
* Experience in sustainable technology projects or initiatives.
* Prior experience in a similar architectural role.
