An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Turning Point's Rochdale and Oldham Substance Use Service as a Young People and Young Adults Recovery Worker. You will join our large integrated service which delivers treatment across the whole of Leicestershire and Rutland.
You will be part of our specialist Young People and Young Adult Team, providing substance use treatment to service users under 18 and up to 25 years old. Whether aiming for management and leadership roles or becoming a specialist like an Advanced Substance Use Practitioner, we will support your career development.
Role Responsibilities
* Supporting a caseload of Young People and Young Adults, undertaking assessments, developing person-centred recovery plans, and delivering evidence-based interventions in groups and one-to-one sessions.
* Providing interventions face-to-face, via telephone, and through video technology where appropriate.
* Engaging in multi-agency collaboration with Youth Offending Teams, Schools, Police, Children's Homes, and Social Services.
* Working within the Youth Offending Team, visiting educational settings, and meeting young people in environments that meet their needs.
* In Rochdale, establishing links with the Family Safeguarding model and Hidden Harm initiatives.
The ideal candidate will be an effective communicator, highly organized, passionate about supporting service users' recovery, and able to engage well with young people and young adults.
