Job Title: Goods In and Parts Person
Hourly Rate: Up to GBP 13ph
Location:Kent
Reporting to the Parts and Showroom Manager, you will play a key role in the smooth day:to:day operation of the goods:in area and the handling of all parts and showroom:related deliveries. You will also support retail sales within the showroom, covering Parts, Hardware, Clothing, and Groundcare Machinery.
As a customer:facing representative of the business, you will consistently deliver a high standard of customer service, responding to product and service enquiries both in person and over the telephone. This is a varied, hands:on role suited to someone who enjoys working in a fast:paced environment and being part of a collaborative team.
Key Responsibilities
: Manage daily goods:in operations, including receiving, checking, and distributing deliveries
: Unload and load internal lorries as required
: Process supplier parcels and unpack branch stock deliveries
: Transfer stock into stores and the showroom accurately
: Maintain customer delivery and collection shelves
: Support workshop technicians with parts identification
: Assist with retail sales across parts, hardware, clothing, and groundcare machinery
: Handle cash, cheque, and card payments with accuracy
: Maintain and manage showroom stock levels
: Carry out stock checks when required
: Ensure the showroom is well presented and stock is displayed correctly
: Deliver efficient, friendly, and professional customer service at all times
Skills and Experience Required
: Knowledge of agricultural and horticultural equipment and parts (advantageous)
: Previous retail or showroom experience (desirable)
: Confident communicator, both face to face and over the phone
