At Stagecoach, our Data Science and Data Engineering team is at the heart of some of our most high-profile projects, work that will genuinely shape how we operate and serve our communities. We're now looking for a Data Engineer to join that team, supporting and developing the applications and infrastructure that keep everything running. This is an exciting opportunity to work with modern data tools and a passionate team of data professionals, helping us shape the future of transport.
What you'll be doing:
1. Developing and supporting our Data Warehouse with new and ongoing improvements, ensuring the business has access to the insights it needs to make better decisions
2. Playing an active role in shaping and delivering our data roadmap, contributing your ideas and expertise to how we evolve our capabilities
3. Collaborating with project teams and liaising with third parties to share knowledge, troubleshoot issues, and keep delivery on track
4. Mentoring team members, sharing your experience to help others grow and the team to perform at its best
5. Getting involved across the full breadth of our programme of work, a varied and fast-moving portfolio that will keep you challenged and engaged
What we're looking for:
6. Experience of developing with Amazon Redshift, ideally alongside Python, ETL and integrations
7. A problem solver and natural communicator, comfortable working in a fast-paced, results-focused environment
8. Highly organised, with the ability to manage changing priorities, ideally with some experience of Jira and Confluence
9. A genuine enthusiasm for what we do and a can-do attitude to match
