Salary: £45,000 – £55,000 + package

A leading UK main contractor is seeking a proactive Health & Safety Advisor to join their team, supporting construction projects across Chichester and the surrounding region. The Opportunity
You will support the delivery of health & safety across live construction projects, working closely with site teams, project managers and senior management to promote a positive safety culture. This role is well suited to a hands-on advisor who enjoys being site-based and actively involved in day-to-day safety management.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support the implementation of the company’s Health & Safety policies and procedures across live projects
• Assist in ensuring full compliance with current legislation, industry standards and company requirements
• Carry out regular site inspections, audits and safety observations
• Provide advice, guidance and support to site teams and subcontractors
• Assist with incident investigations, reporting and corrective actions
• Support training, toolbox talks and safety briefings
• Assist with RAMS reviews, method statements and high-risk activity planning
• Promote continuous improvement and best practice across all sites
Ideal Background:
• Experience in a Health & Safety Advisor role within a main contractor or construction environment
• Strong working knowledge of CDM Regulations and UK construction H&S legislation
• Experience working on live construction sites
• NEBOSH Construction Certificate (or equivalent) preferred
• Proactive, confident communicator with a practical, site-focused approach
