We now have a permanent opportunity for a Maintenance Operative (Plumbing) to join our Hard FM team, working across the North West region.
1. Salary: Starting from £29,000 plus on call allowance
2. Contract: Full-time, permanent
3. Location: Mobile across Stockport, Trafford, Salford and wider North West as required
4. Travel: Company vehicle provided (role requires regional travel)
5. Checks: DBS check will be conducted
6. Training: Legionella, Water Regulations and further development available
Key Responsibilities
This role will deliver a high‑quality plumbing maintenance service across NHS Property Services premises, ensuring a safe and compliant environment for our colleagues and service users. Responsibilities include:
7. Completing reactive and planned plumbing maintenance
8. Unblocking toilets, replacing toilet seats, and resolving routine plumbing faults
9. Installing or repairing standard plumbing fixtures and fittings
10. Supporting wider maintenance teams where required (no gas work involved)
11. Working independently to diagnose and resolve plumbing issues
12. Ensuring all work is completed in line with NHSPS policies, procedures, and compliance standards
13. Maintaining accurate records of works completed
Where you’ll be
You’ll work across multiple NHS sites within the North West region — including Stockport, Trafford and Salford — with occasional wider travel as required to support operational needs.

What we’re looking for
Essential Requirements:
20. NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing
21. Minimum 2 years of hands‑on plumbing experience Domestic, commercial or new‑build experience accepted
22. Legionella knowledge or experience Training can be provided
23. Ability to work independently across multiple sites
24. A customer‑focused approach and commitment to safe working practices
