As an Assistant Housing Officer, you’ll be the first point of contact for customers, supporting our housing management services and ensuring our neighbourhoods remain great places to live.
What You’ll Be Doing:
1. Be a first point of contact for customers via phone, email, web chat, and face-to-face.
2. Support the management of Arches properties and neighbourhoods, ensuring they are safe and well-maintained.
3. Assist with lettings and allocations, including conducting viewings and sign-ups.
4. Help tackle anti-social behaviour (ASB) by logging reports and investigating low-level cases.
5. Carry out estate walkabouts, identifying and resolving issues to improve neighbourhoods.
6. Support residents to sustain their tenancies and signpost them to relevant services.
7. Work with external partners such as the police, local authorities, and community groups.
8. Help deliver resident engagement initiatives to strengthen relationships with our communities.
What We’re Looking For:
* Demonstrable experience in a customer-focused role, preferably in housing or a related field.
* Experience of working with vulnerable residents and diverse communities.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
* Strong ability to prioritise tasks and manage a varied workload.
* IT literate and confident, with experience using Microsoft Office – experience with housing databases is a plus.
* A full driving licence and access to a vehicle for work (desirable but not essential).
